Here's a slew of various blog updates from the past week! My life has been very interesting and full, to say the least.
1. ROMANS 8:28-Chelsea told me this verse in the midst of a very intense conversation we had yesterday, and then I discovered it to be the same verse on the front of my church bulliten this morning. I returned home to find this song in my inbox from Janelle... and I thought it all correlated very well, and fit with some current situations impecably!
He's Gonna Bring it Together
I HEAR YOU SAY
THAT YOU CAN'T GO ON
CAUSE YOU HAD IT ALL AND WATCHED IT FALL AWAY
YOU FEEL BETRAYED
CAUSE EVERYTHING'S GONE WRONG
CAN'T FIND THE STRENGTH TO HOPE FOR A BETTER DAY
YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THE REASONS
BUT HIS PROMISE WILL NEVER CHANGE
Chorus
HE'S GONNA TAKE YOUR PAIN
HE'S GONNA TAKE YOUR DOUBT
HE'S GONNA BRING IT ALL TOGETHER, BRING IT ALL TOGETHER
GONNA MAKE YOU HAPPY
HE'S GONNA MAKE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD
HE'S GONNA BRING IT ALL TOGETHER
BRING IT ALL TOGETHER FOR GOOD
YOU SAY YOU LIVE YOU LIFE
DOING THE BEST YOU CAN
WONDERING IF THE STRUGGLE MEANS ANYTHING
IF YOU REALIZED THAT IT'S IN HIS HANDS
YOU'LL FIND THE PEACE THAT (Sweet) SURRENDER BRINGS
WE MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THE REASONS
BUT HIS PROMISE WILL NEVER CHANGE
HE'S GONNA TAKE YOUR PAIN
HE'S GONNA TAKE YOUR DOUBT
HE'S GONNA BRING IT ALL TOGETHER,
BRING IT ALL TOGETHER
GONNA MAKE YOU HAPPY
HE'S GONNA MAKE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD
HE'S GONNA BRING IT ALL TOGETHER
BRING IT ALL TOGETHER FOR GOOD
THERE WILL COME A DAY OF HEALING
WE WILL SEE THE MASTER PLAN
WE WILL CELEBRATE HIS FAITHFULNESS
AND WE'LL SING (SING) AND WE'LL SHOUT (SHOUT)
PRAISE HIS NAME
Repeat chorus 2x
THAT YOU CAN'T GO ON

2. Tracks and cars.... I went over to my friends, the Visser's house, on Tuesday evening for dinner. I have not seen them in a while, what with the finality of piano lessons and my time away in Romania. After dinner, the four of us went downstairs, and I got to building a train track with Owen's pieces. I soon discovered there were more pieces stashed in bins, and I decided to make it even bigger! Here were my adventures!
3. On Thursday night, my sister and I got together with our good friends Alaina and Sarah to celebrate Alaina's 17th birthday. We had the most awesome birthday sleepover. We had great food...Sarah and I got parking tickets from Mr. Mills =), and we played some fun games. (one of them being this insane relay race involving dressing up in embarrassing clothing and running across the back yard as well as trying to get little beanbags in a bucket.) On Friday, we hit the mall for a scavenger hunt which was also a LOT of fun! Alaina and I won!!!! =)
4. Yesterday, I attended a beautiful wedding for my friends, Ed and Gloria. I have known Gloria I believe since I was seven, and it was really sweet to see the awesome work the Lord has done in her life as well as Ed's in bringing them together. Perhaps what was most awesome was the fact that it rained and stormed all morning, but the sun came out just in time for the ceremony and stayed out for the rest of the afternoon in Canadauige while it stormed back home.
5. And this morning...dah dah dah! Pastor Mark called my friend Dave up to the front....and then asked my friend Crystal to stand up. The two of them have been dating for maybe only a few months... I thought Dave was going to propose on the spot... I think everyone else had that impression too. But instead, Dave got up and announced that as of July 3, he had proposed to Crystal and she said YES! They are planning their wedding for June 12, 2010. Congrats Dave and Crystal!!!!!
